A computer engineer has wired up his family home to internet sensation Twitter so the building itself can 'tweet'. Andy Stanford-Clark, 43, was worried about how to maintain his idyllic Elizabethan cottage in a secluded part of the Isle of Wight. How would he know when the heating was on for too long, an upstairs window left ajar, or the garden hosepipe dripping? To solve the problem, he rigged up a network of sensors in every room to monitor every activity - and send updates to his mobile phone via Twitter. - Mail
