Twitter testing new tweet notifications
"We're starting a limited test of notifications on twitter.com for when you have new tweets. So if one of the folks you follow has tweeted since you loaded your homepage, you’ll get a little notice saying '1 new tweet' that, when clicked, will display the new content. We think it improves the tweet consumption experience and hope to roll it out to everyone as soon as we can" - Twitter Status Blog

Top Twitter Lists from vobios
vobios writes: "Twitter recently introduced lists, but there is no easy way to find new ones. I wondered which ones are the most popular (have most followers) and wrote a script to determine this. I thought that maybe others would like to get this information as well, so I decided to share the results. Top Twitter lists are displayed above for all to enjoy. One could argue that these are the best ones. I have some ideas for additional functionality. If I see that more than a couple of people are visiting this page, I will start implementing them. This list is updated about once a day. That is probably sufficient at this point."
